Green Working Force 2002-2003

The purpose of the  program was to help those who were unemployed to re-enter the job market and joined the recycling business. It included environmental protection and office training, practical experience in campaigning in housing estates and educational work, and other training opportunities. This not only broadened the practical skills of the participants, but also allowed them to maintain their working habits and to train workers for the waste recycling industry. Furthermore, the program led them to face the challenge positively and hence encourage them to contribute to the community. The program was divided into two phases, about 250 participants completed the course, with near 30 percent successful employment rate.
