The Weed out Mikania Campaign

As part of the Action Model on Sustainable Development in Long Valley, the Weed out Mikania Campaign was successfully completed on 9 October 2005. After working hard for hours, the 160 volunteers collected about 120 bags of mikania, weighing over 1800 kg in three villages. Most of them said although they had cleared the most affected area, there were still lots of grounds not yet covered. Weeding out mikania demands long term action, all the volunteers said they will participate in the campaign next year.
